Coronavirus Part 17, Reaching Full Efficiency, Cultural Reforms in India, Defeating Suicidal Tendencies
I
don’t know at what moment the thought strike my mind to write weekly, I have
been drowned in endless thoughts without any gap since then. It has been a
heavy duty to my brain thinking about the past posts, how the public receive
them, thinking about future posts – churning a concept from a plethora of
thoughts, ruminating on it and absorbing for genuineness, generating lot of
intensity, withering pressures from intolerant public and everything else which
puts burden on my head. There must have been no one who is as efficient in
using the brain as me. I remember entering this kind of phase at the flag end
of my foreign trip and getting disoriented. I escaped from the scene and
returned to home nation which eased the burden. Now, I don’t see any escape
route and going through it every week entrapped. I am going through it all for
whatever reason but hope it won’t get much severe than this and cause damage. A
good day-time sleep for couple of days might help which relieved on an earlier
occasion. This is not a complaint but the cost of writing this free blog for a
better person which is me and a better world.
Nothing
comes without pain and I am happy as long as I receive bearable struggles for
immeasurable outcomes. I feel as a common man symbolising an average Indian, if
I am as efficient and hardworking then the country has also reached its highest
levels of efficiency and output. You cannot ask for more from me and India and
we deserve more than what we get. This is with the assumption that India is
there with me and travelling with me and not waiting for my travel to complete.
If my assumption is wrong, then the country has to learn from me after watching
me closely, imitate me and become efficient in the energies for a better India.
Resources should not be wasted, body should not be wasted, brain should not be
wasted, nothing should be wasted and we need to do full justice to the God-given
possessions. Then we can reach our full potential and when we collectively reach
our full potential, the nation reaches its full potential. The results will be
tremendous when a giant nation, sleeping for centuries, awakes, stands up and
runs full steam. I will be dreaming and waiting for that day to become a
reality.
As I think, there are few impediments for us
to reach that goal. First and foremost is we are yet to embrace and incorporate
our own culture and language. We imitate west, assimilate west, heavily depend
on them and speak English. This is the story in all the cities and the norm for
practical implementation on the ground. Hardly anyone dare to deviate from this
reality. Yes, we lived in colonial era for centuries but that does not mean we
should not come out of the colonial mindset and still be slaves of someone
else. Remember, as long as we live with this slave mentality, doesn’t take
pride in our rich heritage and culture, consider it as fashion to speak English
and imitate west; we will not get benefitted, never help ourselves, never reach
the pinnacle, never attain the supreme glory to our nation. We need to decide
what really benefits us and start learning it, believing it and practising it.
We need to encourage leaders who promise big reforms in these areas.
Our
education should be the starting point for these reforms. Our future generations
must learn that which is truly our own and not be the slave kids inheriting
colonial mindsets. We need to come out of the slavery and be the masters of our
own craft. The private players need to invest in these areas. The government’s
Sanskrit universities bill is a good step and many of these initiatives need to
be taken. The best and the brightest minds need to be educated in these schools
and colleges. All the future generations must be imparted Vedic knowledge. Further
research, deliberations need to be taken up in these areas. The future stars of
the country must be the flag-bearers of the rich culture and heritage. When we
learn our own, build on top of our own and spread the goodness in it to the
vastness of the world, we will earn respect for the positive contributions made
to the humanity. This is the way to catapult the nation to its best version. What
will be our contribution to the world when we are imitating someone else? It is high time we break those shackles of
bondage and liberate our souls to usher in a new era through the result of
sweeping reforms. I am writing in English because I am a product of such a
system, soon the system should change in such a way that someone like me should
write in Sanskrit or Hindi for the appreciation of everyone. This is one of the
many reference points for validation that our nation is moving in right
direction.
The
lockdown has been a time of great depression with many people suffering from
psychological problems. Even I am living on the medication since long time. For
these issues, no one should take the extreme step and end the life. A
responsible person acting in haste will trigger few more people to follow suit.
This is a devastating pattern to watch and everyone must remain stronger in
these tough times for the tendencies to suicide are the signs of weakness. The virus
has robbed life out of many people with their aims, ambitions and dreams taking
a severe hit. Many are already lifeless in their living and ending it seems to
be natural consequence. This thought is itself very upsetting and makes me cry.
There are no half measures and life is meant to be lived to the fullest.
Everyone deserves it and I pray a day will come when the virus is ended and
everyone enjoys the freedom from all their emotional impacts and problems. Life
is not meant to be taken very seriously and you need to take it lightly and laugh
it out. There are many jokers, a good joke is always round the corner and there
is plenty of entertainment to seek for any psychological problem. Help
yourself, laugh yourself and come out of the gloominess to fight another day.
Coming
to the pandemic statistics, there are a total of 162.26 lakh infected cases
worldwide and 6.48 lakh people dead. In the past week, 18 lakh new cases came
up and 43 thousand passed away. More than 18 lakh new cases have been
registered which is the second highest surge in a single week so far. The
number of infected persons per week is still very high. U.S.A, Brazil, India
are the ongoing hotspots for the spread of the virus and contributing majorly
worldwide. In India, the number of cases per day is still increasing with each
successive day. Nothing can be said about the trend as the numbers are still
very high and we are still lurching in the darkness with no sign of reprieve.
Politicians
seem to be rolling out namesake lockdowns and people seem to be following it out
of pretension and which is why the virus is on a roll. There are half-hearted
attempts from all stakeholders in these countries which is the reason for
ever-increasing numbers. The one time, namesake nationwide lockdown in India is
a big joke and the exit is a bigger joke. If it is seriously implemented and
followed, the graph should be on descending trajectory and reached zero which
has happened everywhere else. These lockdowns and other controlling measures should
be iterative in nature, must travel along with the virus till it is conquered
and not restricted to onetime implementation. The local bodies should have
taken up the task but didn’t bother to do much. My residing state and home
state did not even take any measures and silently watching in anxiety as the
numbers peak.
A
sector which has been really affected by the pandemic is the film industry. They
cannot make movies and people cannot go to cinema. This has been a great
deprivation for creators and audience. I would like to be directed by some good
director and act in a movie. This would shape and prepare me for greater
challenges. There is no better platform than movie making to get into the
groove. Many great public figures emerged out of movies who served the society
vastly. People like Jayalalitha, NTR etc. went on to become CMs of the state.
This pandemic must have temporarily suspended this activity. Nevertheless,
there is an intelligent director who is still making controversial films in
Telugu and releasing them in OTT platforms, seemingly making huge profits. This
person makes semi-porn movies, parody films on great actors, highlights negatives,
selects controversial subjects and makes short films during pandemic. He is
regular in action and I always find a funny side in his tweets and movies.
These serious persons should be taken lightly who provide some entertainment
relief to the public when everyone is lying low.
