Coronavirus Part 15, 'How' is Life, First Family, Going For Peace, Stupid Decisions in U.S.

               Ever since past many years, any known person when he comes across, some of the most common questions to me are – ‘How’ are you?, ‘How’ are you doing?, ‘How’ is life?, and many ‘how’ questions with a stress on ‘how’. These questions are posed to me since I lead such a pathetic life. I know I am different but that should not make me a ‘how’ man. How I do such things – the experience dates back to 9 to 10 years when I came into public life and became extremely public person. Those who observed me noted at that time itself as to how I can lead such a life. Leading such a life for 5 years took me to the foreign nation where I continued to lead the same life and had to return back because of such deeds in foreign nation. This oscillation happened for few years where I did not find my footing at any place and lead a nomadic life.

               I settled for the last three years but still go through such bouts every now and then which reminisce of the 5 years earlier. These lockdown days and my blog posts every week has increased my ‘how’ quotient few notches higher. Someone or other poses – how do you write such posts every week. I don’t know if I am really acting as such or they are enforcing it upon me. You can rub it upon me to act as such. Whatever it might be the case, I worry about the price I need to pay for such deeds. In the earlier instance, I lost all my savings in addition to tens of lakhs in the process of rotating between the countries. Going bankrupt can be extremely difficult to recover and can be reversed with some effort but if something goes wrong beyond that, it cannot be brought back. This all puts the onus on leading a proper, systematic life without such pathetic bouts.

               One of the main concerns of writing this blog is it generates a lot of envy. I cannot handle that much of greenery and I need to make it entirely sure before I can forge ahead. This has been my n^th post and n^th time treading on danger and I can only evade few times. This weekly updates has bought the envy much more frequently and I don’t know if it is a good practise. I once again worry about the price I had to pay for generating so much of envy each time a post is made. I am missing my self-imposed deadline of posting on a Thursday night since last few weeks as I need to be careful and fearful of writing anything on that night. It becomes very heavy to move an inch. I can feel some unknown force preventing me from writing and putting me in safe zone. Artists can only function when there is appreciation and not jealousy brewing out of their work. Though it invokes negative emotions, I try to write on real world issues and create a positive impact. It is up to the leaders to leverage the clout and implement it on the ground. But I am in the position to direct the people and give practical solutions. If someone doesn’t listen and act against, I feel for his senses and pity his judgement. Hence, there is some purpose involved behind writing the articles rather than making someone cry. However, I will discontinue if it is no longer safe to publish the posts and let the almighty guide me for the best possible outcome.

               Over the past many years, whatever I achieved is partly because of my family and the support they had given. Though I live with a family, my deeds help society more than my family. I always engage in activities which a person living with a family should not do. It will put excess strain on the family members to tolerate the person and provide him a breeding ground from where he can serve the extended family or nation. I work with lot of urgency and this becomes extremely tough when living with a family. I am taking them for a ride along me for just living with me and accompanying me. They go through many tough days and receive whatever flak is thrown at me by the public. Since I am not a normal person, tolerating me is a daily challenge and they allow me to get the benefits of living in a family. They went out of their way a lot of times just to be there for me. They provided cover for me by working more than I work and in a way sustained me over the years. Just by virtue of all that they contributed for the nation indirectly and the focus it generates over the years, I can tell my family is the first family of the nation. I am indebted for the shared journey till date and the teamwork we had done over the years. They deserve as much credit and appreciation for silently walking with me and forming the missing links in the chain.

               Moving to other subjects, there is a tense situation prevalent between India and China in the northern border. Both the countries need to exercise restraint and take a step with caution. It has been alleged that China intruded into our territory and claimed the lives of 20 army personnel who are defending the territory. There is nothing wrong in Chinese aggression if we look from their side. A common principle upon which kingdoms and countries rule are – strong takeover the weak and rule over them. It is a general premise upon which great kingdoms rule. The strong encroaches the surrounding weaker regions and makes them their own. But India has become a strong nation and can defend its borders without submitting meekly in front of a mighty opponent. This is where strength should respect strength and come to cordial terms. China did the right thing by retreating from the border and prevailing peace. In modern day warfare, these skirmishes can cost you a lot and countries should go for peace at all costs. I am a real fan of Indo-Sino friendship and China should transform a lot to bring it into reality. The real strength lies in restraint and stopping the war, not in waging it. We should be friends with all the bordering nations. The leaders must work towards Indo-Pak and Indo-Sino friendship to prevent loss of lives, douse raising tensions and bring stability in South Asia. India must not go for tit-for-tat policies and should act by looking at the larger goal of peace in mind.

               There is no spice without writing about the stupid policies of U.S. administration. Let me mention not one or two but about four of them.  Firstly, the administration has suspended and limited the entry of H1-B visa holders into the country. Why are they after the high skilled work visas given to foreign nationals including many Indians? Why are they holding bias against the Indians who contributed immensely to their job requirements? Why are they using us when in need and throwing us off when the time elapsed. H1-B is a great programme which fulfils the dreams of many young foreign nationals. Why is this below mediocre administration doing away with the great programme? They are seeking greatness in words and stupidity in action.

               Secondly, they are causing problems to H1-B dependants or H4-EAD professionals. The spouses cannot enter the country or those in the country are facing problems in their job continuity. This is also a great programme introduced by previous government administration as a gift to H1-B spouses on the occasion of my entry in 2015. I entered in January and the spouses are allowed to work from Feb. Why are they trying to do away with this great legacy of mine and previous administration? Many talented spouses which I know personally contributed immensely to the country in the last 5 years. In fact spouses work better than the H1-B holders. You can help me when you build on legacies rather than destroying them. I work with the EADs in job regularly and they help me immensely. I am surviving because of my past Karma and they are undoing it all. Few of my colleagues have to leave the job due to the problems to visas caused by them. I strengthened H1-B, help introduce EADs and they destroyed both of them.

              Thirdly, another stupid decision is to send back foreign students to their home countries, who are not enrolled in in-person classes in next semester. Why can’t they host guests in their country in the midst of pandemic? Leave alone looking the guests well, what stupid tradition ask them to make them leave in their hour of need? How do they get these dim-witted ideas, leave alone implementing them, to throw the students out when they are paying fees and enrolled for education. The thought itself is so malevolent, disgusting and nauseating. God should help America in their darkest hour of ideas. As someone pointed out, there are two Americas – one that is Godly and the other that is evil-minded and small brained. The former lose their name and are helpless because of the latter which is at helm now.

              Finally, another dark idea that has come out is to bully and black-mail schools into re-opening for in-person classes. Why do you want to put the little kids in risk and don’t have any respect for bright lives of future generations. Imagine what would happen if the kids are brought to schools when the virus is still at large. Can you think about the dreaded community transmission among little kids? The pandemic is infecting in record numbers and the stupidity in ideas is reaching record heights. You can bear one but not two of them at the same time hitting from left and right. Pandemic can be contained but human stupidity cannot. The linear rise of these two - nature and human pandemics is dangerous. The dumbness of these above ideas and directives is mind-numbing. You have developed Artificial Intelligence. Feed these ideas to the decision -making AI algorithms and see even the machines crash in embarrassment. These four are just a tip of iceberg which provides ample fodder to persons like me in denouncing them.

              Coming to the statistics, there are a total of 128.47 lakh infected cases worldwide and 5.67 lakh people dead. In the past week, 19 lakh new cases came up and 46 thousand passed away. More than 19 lakh new cases have been registered which is the highest surge in single week so far. The number of infected persons per week is still increasing with each of my successive post. U.S.A, Brazil, India are the ongoing hotspots for the spread of the virus and contributing majorly worldwide. The infected number is rising alarmingly and there is an estimate that the number will touch 200 million in India by year end. There are fears that with the removal of lockdown and people roaming freely, there are probably tens of millions of cases already in the country but gone untested. In some of the test samples, more than two thirds are being returned as positives.

              There has to be urgency and emergency in containing the spread and inaction to leave it to destiny. Taking a cue from the urgency I had shown, A.P. government procured more than 1000 ambulances to aid efforts against covid-19. DRDO built 1000-bed hospital in just 12 days. This urgency in action is required if we want to save our kids and elders who are week and prone to serious symptoms. It is estimated that an untested positive person will spread to 200 more persons since many cases are asymptomatic till last minute. It is required to impose lockdown in high-infected clusters to break the chain. Those who rise to the occasion will save precious lives and ease the panic among public while others will take comfort in the fact that the virus is not at all deadly and easily cured. These are tough times for the country and everyone should be responsible in standing united and follow the rules to keep everyone else safe.
