Homage To Y.S.R

It doesn't matter how well a man lived for his entire life but the ultimate result confers upon him who has lofty ideals and lived by them through thick and thin. And Y.S.R's ideals are solving the problems of the people and uplifting the weaker sections of the society, for anything less he would not have achieved half of his success. He would not have even drawn the kind of farewell and the wide acclaim had he been involved in any of the many charges levied against him.

Beyond any doubt, he single handedly revived the fortunes of Congress in the state. His case would be best dealt if a pragmatic view is considered. True, he hailed from a faction back ground, used politician's mudslinging to denounce his opponents in the meanest of ways, severely alleged upon for misusing power, but his unique ability to feel the common man's pulse had lifted him to a position of comfort which he would have enjoyed far into the future. His mammoth plan to provide irrigation to 1 crore acres was one such step to boost the farming community which forms 67% of the population. He dared to take on every other political party pursuing the apparently popular separatist sentiment while staying rooted for the undivided state. This bravery and nerves of steel had led him to sustain 1400 kms of march on foot in scorching heat.

A gifted, charismatic leader, he won all the 9 elections contested. He also manufactured himself to reach the present stature through regular effort and the untimely death at a point in his career when he is illuminating brightly is a huge loss to the state and the country.
