India Roundup - A Mission to Bring Brighter Days for India

I have to admit I made a mistake sometime back. At the time when I emigrated to U.S. flying high in the sky, the people underneath are rendered to a state of shock and emotions must have run high. Thanks to the age of internet where everyone knows everything, my journey was one which spread negativity and only disturbed one and all emotionally. I can imagine being on the receiving end - when someone renders me to a similar shock, what is the purpose will it serve. Will it serve anything good or gives only bad consequences. For all my limitations, I have some strengths as well. Using this strength, I might have wreaked havoc on the emotional side of the people underneath as I traveled high in the air. It is similar to poor Indians travelling back to the age of dominance, oppression and hegemony under foreign rule which deprived them of freedom. It is definitely a mistake and a costly mistake on my part which is entirely unintentional and beyond my control. The world works in circle and the negativity you spread will be the negativity you get. What will be the compensation – it is my work and mission to bring back brighter days which eclipses all the darkness they ever face. It is my own contribution to the mission to bring back brighter days for all Indians who deserve it by all counts. It is at least a step to correct the mistake. Now, whomsoever felt down will definitely bounce back by double or triple proportions, whomsoever felt suppressed will break shackles and get the freedom back in exceeding magnitude and everyone will see brighter days ahead which also works with the mission to simply make India bright.

We need to return or compensate far greater and bigger than the damage caused emotionally, mentally and by all other means. That means thinking about the days where India does exceedingly well in all counts. That is the reason behind our every move where we need to think India stands in great territory and travels in a path to reach unimaginable glory. A temporary loss should bring returns with compound interest which should be the collective mission. I would begin with the native city Hyderabad from where I had flown. After all the exceedingly good work in Hyderabad for a decade, leaving the place for few years is a bit disheartening. Whatever I am able to do in U.S. is all due to the breeding ground provided by this great city which aided to built my formative years to put me in this position. I am all for the glory and great days for this city and state which should rise like a rocket by having a sky as a limit. I even live in U.S. with the folks from Hyderabad; otherwise, there is no one to care for me and there is no where else I can go. For all that I do to U.S., I am yet to mingle, talk to and live with U.S. people. Hence, the bond has stretched far and wide where I can continue to live with the people of my own land. These very people have provided me a place to stay in the foreign land in the biggest time of my life. Thus, cheering up for Hyderabad serves my personal reasons apart from being my home city.

A splendid government took the power a year back in Telangana and brought me hope overseas as well, a time when I changed my nest. I am still doing OK and good which is the power of this great government formation. The congress government took the power after an inspiring run a year back and it is not just name-sake but highly impactful rise of a new government. I firmly believe strong rulers means the people on the ground fares good and stay strong. It is the power of their rule which give power to the people. A slightly remote reason behind my good standing thus points to this new formation. Besides, I strongly root for a great performance from Hyderabad and Telangana in scaling greater heights as the new government continues to build on the promise and progress of the decade old state. I also look to bring back the brighter days to this home state which should also radiate all across the nation. When your home shines bright, the nation will as well turn bright brimming with positivity.

I would look at the good enablers and prominent news coming out from Hyderabad, Telengana in its march towards progress for the rest of the blog. It should also serve as an additional force in the mission to make Hyderabad bright and white. Over the past two years, Hyderabad has emerged as a magnet for major investments, driven by a combination of proactive government policies, world-class infrastructure, and a thriving innovation ecosystem. Global technology giants and major investors have taken keen interest in the city, attracted by its robust digital infrastructure and the abundance of skilled professionals.

The Telangana government has played a pivotal role by instituting investor-friendly reforms and initiatives that simplify business processes. Strategic policies, such as tax incentives, streamlined regulatory procedures, and supportive frameworks for startups and established companies alike, have bolstered investor confidence. These measures have not only attracted technology firms but have also paved the way for investments in sectors like manufacturing, renewable energy, and digital services. Hyderabad’s well-developed IT parks and special economic zones (SEZs) have become hubs of innovation and business activity.

Let us talk about the development in the state in attracting investments. Hyderabad and the state of Telangana have reportedly attracted investments in the range of INR 60,000–65,000 crores (approximately $8–$8.5 billion USD) over the last two years. This total spans multiple sectors including IT, manufacturing, renewable energy, and infrastructure.

Staying in the tune, there are also major global technology investments in the recent past. Microsoft has expanded its operations in Hyderabad with an announced investment of around $300 million USD. This expansion is aimed at boosting its research and development capabilities in areas like cloud computing and AI.

Amazon investments in expanding fulfillment and data center operations in the region has been reported at approximately $500 million USD. This funding is directed toward supporting Amazon’s growing e-commerce infrastructure in South Asia.

Google & Meta have collectively committed several hundred million dollars—estimates suggest a combined range of $400–$500 million USD—toward enhancing their local infrastructure and digital initiatives in Hyderabad.

Hyderabad’s vibrant startup scene, supported by enablers like T-Hub and RICH (Research and Innovation Circle of Hyderabad), has been a significant draw for investors. Over the last two years, more than 2,500 startups have been nurtured in the ecosystem. These startups have collectively raised venture capital funding estimated at around $400 million USD, reinforcing the city’s reputation as a fertile ground for innovative ventures.

Beyond the bustling tech hub of Hyderabad, the entire state has attracted significant investments, with new manufacturing units and IT parks being inaugurated. Recent estimates indicate that Telangana has drawn upwards of INR 40,000 crores (approximately $5–6 billion USD) in fresh investments in sectors such as automotive manufacturing, electronics, and biotechnology. These investments are generating thousands of jobs and driving economic diversification across the state.

Telangana’s infrastructure has seen considerable enhancements over the last year. The expansion of the Hyderabad Metro Rail network, with over 30 additional kilometers of track added, has improved urban connectivity and eased daily commutes for residents. In tandem, upgrades to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport and improvements in the regional road network have strengthened logistical capabilities and boosted the overall ease of doing business.

Recognizing the importance of its rich cultural heritage, Telangana inaugurated a new heritage corridor in Hyderabad. This project connects several historical sites and museums, leading to an estimated 15% increase in tourism. By blending cultural preservation with modern amenities, the state is not only safeguarding its past but also creating new economic opportunities through tourism.

Overall, Telangana’s diverse achievements over the past year reflect a holistic approach to development. Through strategic investments, technological advancements, and robust infrastructure projects, the state is steadily marching towards progress while ensuring sustainable and inclusive growth.

This certainly post a bright picture of the home city and state while adding an extra layer of excitement in the leap about the ongoing developments. The idea of a Hyderabad and Telangana really took off in the last ten years along with the story of India. If anything, this new state should serve as a model of governance and reflect the state of affairs for the entire country in making the lives of the people bright. I will touch upon the broad-based development happening in India in another post. It is to say that everyone is committed towards a bright and beaming India, reclaiming its lost freedom, glory and expression as it travels in the path towards unprecedented progress and prosperity. Energy suppressed and contained will be released to reach great heights and the country is experiencing the same. A collective successful mission will catapult the nation on this very path. This is all done from someone like me residing outside of nation for the cause of home nation to simply suggest the emigrants are more Indian than one can think.
