To Proliferate the Ideal of 'Service Through Hard Work'

Looking at the tenure in the U.S., I would like to hit home two simple aspects which came from me and lay in the open for everyone to absorb and continue along the same lines. Those are service and hard work. As I felt, you cannot serve others without working hard and hence both are interlinked. That is what I practiced all this time – serving others by working hard. How I did is secondary and might be irrelevant since if you can take up these lofty virtues, everything else will be taken care of. This is what I felt and happened to me all along that the bruises you pick along will somehow heal. When you are serving no end for years together, you reach a point when the days of service, volume of service and people served will be hitting optimum levels to force a substantial degree of order and change in the country and world around you. This tipping must have been reached and we are in the wave of service to humanity which is equal to service to God. The selfless service for the cause of humanity is as important as worshiping a God. Love of mankind is the worship of God. This is the gist of all worship which is to be pure and to do well for others. 

Years of hard work and working in a job made this self-less service possible for me. As this aura of service progresses, it is the people of the country who will be soaked in the environment and get benefitted. As I would like to continue the state of serving others, the outcome which I envision for myself is kill the ‘I’ in me or take off the pride in me. When you are giving up the pride within you or the self or the ego, you become mature and grow as a person. This loss of ‘I’ and dying down of arrogance within you will lead you to the path of progress towards creating a complete man. When you grow to that state and radiate the same around you, the people of the land will be led to maturity and progress to the next state. Taking the cue, when the same motto of ‘serving others through hard work’ is practiced by multitudes, the people as a whole will be on the path of progress. When the people elevate themselves to the next stage, it is the country that grows as an entity. Once again, it begins by killing the ‘I’ within you. Get yourself lost in the service for others, kill the inhibitions limiting you and put yourself on the path to progress. This is the recipe I followed, and this is the blockbuster recipe of the times as well which is working inherently under the carpet all around us.

 

This service at a magnitude moves the people and moves the nations. If hard work is the building block for a nation, the service you render through it will sustain future generations, keeping them in good shape. America, as a country, is built on the years of hard work and service to humanity, the very ideals which are brought to the fore through people like me. The country has been built and developed over a vast expanse of land which will take years of hard work, bringing up tools all along which are serving humanity of the world. I might be a microcosmic producer of the effect which this country has been propagating for some time. If the humanity of the world is served by giving everything they require in this modern world, most fingers point to this country as the reason behind the making. My little tenure and journey in the country is to reinforce these very ideals and make the people cling to these very ideals – work hard and serve the humanity, which should be the role play of a leading superpower.

 

This is ongoing and the facts don’t speak otherwise - The United States is the largest donor of foreign aid in the world. In fiscal year 2022, the U.S. government provided $38.6 billion in foreign aid to as many as 181 countries. The United States provides development assistance to countries around the world to help them promote economic growth, reduce poverty, and improve the lives of their citizens. In fiscal year 2022, the U.S. government provided $27.4 billion in development assistance to as many as 146 countries. The United States provides military assistance to countries around the world to help them build their own defense capabilities. In fiscal year 2022, the U.S. government provided $24.6 billion in military assistance to as many as 161 countries. This is just public aid, and the private funds adds up to fire the numbers way higher. Besides creating a tool for every possible human necessity, the country is a giver and a servant to the world in this age. Being at the center of this action can become the toughest job on the planet in present times.

 

When you become the center of dissipating an aura which becomes the bubble and creates an environment for everyone to operate within, you are doing an excellent job by serving others. This is the kind of service which is not done yet and is required for many years to come. When there are many citizen centers operating across the land serving others, it dictates the life of the land and propels the living mass entity for good. At the highest point, the President of a country is best served when he is serving the citizens of the country to the best of their needs. This country must be fortunate to have one at the helm who became his own representation of today after decades of public service. The long work tenure bear fruits as he is in charge of working upon billions of dollars in serving the citizens of this country and those around the world. While the ordinary few works on intangible areas, the presidents have the sweeping power to serve the citizens tangibly and in ways felt more realistically and practically. Even if we can inspire to the best of our abilities, the government and other leaders of this country need to absorb and act in the same spirit and become successful in the role of playing the largest servants of the world.

 

The richest 1% of Americans controlled more than one-third of all the wealth in the country and top 10% has a whopping 80% of the wealth. The bottom 50% of households, on the other hand, held only 2.6% of the wealth in U.S. The U.S. president must be the biggest enabler of socialism by bringing a semblance of uniformity across people belonging to wide ranging socio-economic strata. While the country is miles ahead and other nations are lagging, the people within this country itself have enormous differences. These differences are best negotiated when we serve the bottom 50%. I firmly believe that when ordinary people like us do the job to the best of our abilities by creating pockets of service in society, it energizes and provides strength to the higher echelons to serve the people across larger purview. This is how the bottom 50% are best served in any country by working upon channels to reach them. This is how a hope for humanity is ignited in any nation when the ‘have-nots’ are reached out and a helping hand is given out to them.

 

To conclude, U.S. need to continue its ideal of ‘serving others by working hard’ and create many people like me who embody and pursue this virtue. Our business to live is to serve others and humanity is best served by this rigorous work ethic, higher standards and desire for continuous progress. May the great citizens of this country who are already in this path operate in the same vein for many more years far into the future.
