Russia- Ukraine crisis Part 2, Subjecting to Movies and Will of People.
There will be problems aplenty to test a person’s resilience, perseverance and tenacity. While there will be problems due to under-cooking, there will be few of those due to over-cooking. Let me talk about some of those due to over-cooking. When something becomes ‘over’ it means it has become ‘too-much’. You can prepare something just enough but not ‘too-much’ or over-prepare it.
It will create lot of head-aches. You need to be a moderate person for things to get back to yourself in moderate proportion. When you are over-doing, you will get hit by things in excess. Once again you will be over-prepared when you are preparing anyone else overly. This is the Karma in preparation. This over-preparation is pretty perilous and suck the life out of the living soul.
Just to give an example, there are youth who are becoming movie buffs day by day. Movies are a great platform to showcase a narrative, splendour and provide an environment which can shape or prepare its audience. There are many great examples of this stuff and I remember these movies far better than the classes taught in my school during the childhood. If this is the potential of a fine movie, what will happen to these youth who are watching this stupendous content through different streaming platforms day-in and day-out?
Every day they are watching these movies from the repertoire of countless movies from many streaming channels. We used to watch a movie once in a full moon day or far less frequently. The next generation have become absolute movie-buffs in these days as great content is available to them very easily. Just speak to any random youth in Andhra Pradesh and there is a high probability that you are facing a movie-buff. The over-preparation of these young men from watching the day-in, day-out movies is alarming.
In a moderate world, you can enact a play once in a while and you will watch a play once in a while. But the addiction to the daily dose of movies is pretty much a new variant of corona virus, spreading virally without any hindrance.
For my part, I watch on mobile, laptop and once in a while on bigger screens. I also put out content with my actions on daily basis for others to watch me. Someone can ask – how can you do it on a daily basis. I have a simple principle – my schools, colleges have provided me environment to prepare myself for 21 years, can’t I prepare the state, country and the world for the next 21 years with the content I put out. Subjecting the audience to this treatment once in a while can become namesake. When you are working on them for years regularly; teaching them, inspiring them and making them get exposure to great content, it will produce a great result to the country or the world.
I was subjected to this treatment for 21 years and I would like to subject the world to this treatment for the next 21 years. I do not expect anything from the audience other than experience the environment it provides and become a better person.
I compare myself to the Large Hadron Collider(LHC) in CERN which is the worlds largest and most powerful particle accelerator. It subjects the particles inside it to increase the energy tremendously by a number of accelerating structures and super conducting magnets dictating the environment. The collider is 27 km ring which makes the atomic particles to reach high energy and high speeds to make a collision. It is used to study the conditions that existed after a billionth of a second following big bang explosion. The outcome of this Collider ring collisions is to unravel the secrets of creation. The great outcomes are achieved when elements are subjected to great environments.
This is the only principle behind me working on a regular basis to produce good content for the onlookers. That said, I do not want it to be in excess and make the next generation become extreme movie fanatics. Everything should be in limit and the activity should be in control. But alas, these are the days of too many movies from too many sources. Let us hope we do not drift too much from the underlying principle of subjecting one and all to this treatment. Let us hope we are moderate in the preparation and do not over-cook or under cook.
Let us go back quickly to the Russian military action on Ukraine. Ukraine was earlier part of Soviet Union but became separate after disintegration and sided with NATO. It seems the modern Ukraine created by communist Russia has become a state which is controlled by West. Just before the onslaught , Russian President claimed his goal was to protect people subjected to bullying and genocide and aim for the "demilitarisation and de-Nazification" of Ukraine. There has been no genocide in Ukraine: it is a vibrant democracy, led by a president who is Jewish. It was claimed by Russian President that the Russians and Ukrainians are "one nation", and he has described the collapse of the Soviet Union in December 1991 as the "disintegration of historical Russia".
When a big nation wants to expand, there comes the part of military action with varying consequences. These consequences can be huge for the people on the ground who are at the suffering end. Is it required that 4 crore plus Ukrainians surrender to Russia by severely affecting their lives and livelihoods far into an unknown future. Is it required that 18 million Ukrainians fled as refugees to other nations losing their identity and beholding an uncertain future. Is it required that 20 thousand students from India and many from other countries with hopes and aspirations lose it in the middle and return to home nations.
In simple terms, Ukraine has become victim of war and how quickly it will deteriorate further is known to not many. The road ahead should be to quickly minimise the damage done to 4 crore people as number one priority. Things have taken unfortunate turn and this is not to be prolonged any further. The military action should immediately end, peace restored and normal lives brought back. Whatever demands of the aggressor should be acceded to in order to maintain peace in the region. At last, Ukraine must not become another Iraq, another Afghanistan of our times but a country true to its roots – Ukraine must remain Ukraine without much loss and we must not let the slide to happen in front of our own eyes.
The people must not let the leaders make mistakes and it is the collective resolve of the people which should determine the path of the country and not one or two dictating terms. The resolve of common citizens will negate any big miscalculation and quickly restore the status quo. Hence, the great country that is Russia should not commit these humanitarian blunders and the people of Russia, which once lead the world, should sleep with a clear conscience.
Another example, where the people corrected a ruling Governments mistake happened in Andhra Pradesh. This week, the high court of Andhra Pradesh pronounced verdict on the issue of capital city. The government had earlier brought a three capital law in 2020 striking out Amaravati as sole capital of Andhra Pradesh after the state opted for it in 2014. More than the leaders, it is the collective will and deep-rooted belief of the people, especially farmers – who have given land to the capital, that Amaravati should be the whole and sole capital of the state. When Chandrababu Naidu knelt down, touched the soil of Amaravati and bowed down to it in a salutation, he just reflected the collective wish of the people who are attached to the capital city.
When this attachment had been hit by the three-capital theory and legislation, it is the peoples movement for more than two years which corrected the step of Government in the form of high-court delivering its mammoth verdict in favour of Amaravati. The people believed, who then protested to change the beliefs of others on the capital city and legally won the battle in their favour. There is no going back on this and no one can disagree on what has transpired. The will of people is much powerful than the will of a leader. The government should debunk the three capital theory and should cover the lost ground quickly by building a grand capital at Amaravati. States are built around capitals and without having a happening capital; it would curtail the progress of the state. Hence the ruling government should quickly correct, recoil and side with the people in bringing up a glorious capital to serve the dreams and aspirations of the public.
