Donation Drive, Ram-Consciousness and Grand Ram Temple in U.S.

               There will be few happenings which misses our attention span in the present tense but highly worth noticing them for the good. They might have swept past in a quick motion but you can’t but admire the immensity of the activity. One of those giant activities has swept across the nation in the very recent past. It is the world’s biggest campaign held to spread the ideals of Lord Ram across the length and breadth of the country. Everyone knows the construction of Ram mandir has been initiated few months back. Before commencing it on the ground, it has been decided to make everyone part of the noble cause and at the same time collect funds for the construction.

               Since January 15^th to February 27^th, for 44 days, over 12 crore families across the country have contributed to the cause, which has been volunteered by over 20 lakh men and women. It turns out that a third of the country has donated and was made part of the mobilisation campaign for Lord Ram. The intention is every family in the country should own the temple by contributing a brick in its construction. In this way, the ideals and ways of Lord Ram are remembered and deeply ingrained in the society to bring back the sanatana dharma to the fore.

               A highly immersive door to door campaign took place all over the land and more than 2500 crores was collected in this mega exercise. The target was reached ahead of estimates and people from all social strata including beggars donated to the cause. There have been many touching stories emerged out of this campaign and many people dedicated money whole heartedly in reflection of their immense worship of Lord Ram. It is particularly pleasing to see the contribution made by Rambhakt muslim(Ram devotees from Muslim) society. The states from North-eastern India also made significant contribution.

               I also played my part as a volunteer on few occasions but there are many who worked with high levels of dedication driving it from the front. They made their lives much more meaningful by being in service to the Lord and writing a golden page in forwarding his legacy and history. I cannot believe such a huge moment transpired before our eyes where everyone felt a connect to preserve and save our culture. Some intangible force pushed everyone all along in this mission.

               This entire series - from the Judgement given by Supreme court to establishing a temple trust to ground breaking ceremony to a movement to make everyone part of it needs to be written alongside the golden and monumental period of the nation’s history. The job is half done in realising the emergence of Lord Ram in his birth place and in the society. The darkness of the world will soon be illuminated by His brightness as Ram rises like the Sun in the horizon. Let us pledge to continue the same spirit and carry forward his ideals far and wide to bring a Ram Rajya in the nation and in the world.

               The covid-19 pandemic is more than an apt moment to resurface His necessity and importance to the world. If it can be seen -U.S is the worst affected nation due to the covid-19 where nearly 5.5 lakh people died and a part of the country contracted virus. The solution to this outbreak is much more profound and deeper than it is superficial. Enacting the ideals of Lord Ram and following his footsteps and dharma is a solution of highest order which defeats any virus and protects the humanity.

               When the outgoing President contracted the virus, he was correctly given Remdesivir as a medicine which has Ram in its name. The wisdom and acuity of the team of doctors is highly appreciated in identifying the medicine for the problem. Likewise, Lord Ram is the treatment for all the viruses and problems of the world.

               The spirit of Indians need to be followed in U.S. where a grand Temple need to be constructed to signify the change and establishment of a new world order. A grand temple constructed in that country will go a long way in continuing the good work emanated in India.

               We need to be aware and remember the Lord for most of the time and not just in occasions such as these campaigns. This will make us more like him and convert our true selves into his being. In lieu with this, a new movement: ‘Rama-consciousness’ movement can be proposed to bring ourselves closer to the ultimate goal of our soul – to get unified with the Lord. Every one of us lives for temporary fulfilments but none of us works for the fulfilment which lasts forever. Every one of us eats for the stomach of the physical body but none of us eats to satiate the hunger of our soul. Our soul will get improved, rescued and enlightened when we chant his name and mantra in this day and age.

               Consciousness of Rama is already brought to our house through this movement and activity and we need to persist with it in our heart and mind to save and uplift ourselves. This will pass on a proud, rewarding legacy to our future generation as well. We need to dig deep into ourselves and ask ourselves if we are doing the correct thing in our lives in the present world which will not harm the future. The answer is a tilting yes-no. To make it a certain ‘Yes’, we need to take the bold steps, embrace good ideals and change the world for a better place to live for future generations. Ram Rajya (kingdom) existed for 11000 years. That which is a good ideal will last long and that should only last long. We need to ask ourselves how long can we sustain through the way we live. Let us strive for longevity and let us strive to establish Ram Rajya.

               To sum it up, a temple to defeat the pandemic and a symbol of hope for future generations need to be brought up in the pandemic capital of the world – U.S. and Rama-counsciousness need to taken up by every individual of all age groups to live the real purpose of our lives.
