Corona Virus Part 8, Important Reforms, Owning a House, 'Yes' India and Threat to U.S.A.

                 It has been nearly two months since the outbreak of Corona in India and the subsequent lockdown. One of the significant features of the lockdown is the people around you ceases to work. Almost everyone followed self-quarantine and remained in homes. I can say around 95% of the people subjected themselves to the quarantine with minimum activity. I am in the remaining 5%, working even in the lockdown days to reduce the impacts of lockdown. It must have invoked some greenery from all those non-working people because I am alone working outside while they are confined to indoors. I should have also remained indoors but nothing can prevent me from reacting according to the situation everyday. I searched for some work and engaged in few meaningful activities. The result of this activity is I inspired people to be more productive during and after these dormant days. I inspired one and all to restart the normal activities sooner than they would normally take.

                   The good old days are finally upon us where people are seen travelling from one place to other freely, all the businesses resumed and all the shops re-opened. Except gatherings in groups, everything is nearly back to normal. This is the significant achievement of men like me who worked to reduce the turnaround time after the implementation of lockdown. From complete closure to back to old days in less than 2 months, when the virus is still unrelenting is something very quick. Never before has a full blown pandemic like the current one is taken care in two months time. People thought it might take two years to fully operationalize as earlier. I provided the key to the toy and the toy is back, up and running in no time. You can see people wanting to come out and be a part of normal life. I am going out daily and it has been lot of traffic on roads. Public seems to be least perturbed by the virus. Slowly the curbs are being removed, pervaded or it has become unrestricted. The buses and trains are back running and the flights are back flying. If galvanization is an art during lockdown, one of the portraits is the motivation in the people after a quick lockdown. I did the job as a galvanizer splendidly as always and the result is the increased productivity and output from people during holidays.

                One of the downsides of my working style is I leave a lot of people behind. I sub-consciously feel I am the only one important and leave every one else behind. It is one of the major personality disorders I had which thinks I am the only one important in this world. A true leader needs to do team work of eminent people and should not work alone. But a lot of people are left in the journey and does not feel part of the mission. The fact that I worked alone in lockdown is the pinnacle of the externalization of the imposing personality trait I has. I need to involve everyone so that people does not wait for my journey to get over before commencing theirs. Hence, everyone need to ride together in this journey and not become a bus with single passenger.

                All of us remembers about the promise of New India and the steps we need to take towards realizing the goal. One of the patterns observed during the covid19 pandemic is it threw an opportunity towards the goal. India has strongly captured the opportunity and I feel that the host of reforms announced last week also come under this category. These should not be looked as everyday activities but as once in a while reforms which are required to catapult the nation into its realistic place. Everyone need to assimilate them and put them into practice to fully benefit from the 20 lakh crore package announced under the guise of corona. We need to understand that India is a primitive nation and many structural, rational and forward-thinking reforms need to find a place in the functioning of the nation. The pandemic called coronavirus provided a nice opportune time to push through with these changes and to jumpstart the sagging economy. It is up to the people to make full use of this golden opportunity and grow by leaps and bounds to make the idea of a New India a reality.

                Let me disclose my own, very important contribution towards that end. Most of us has a goal in life and my objective at a personal level is to clear the house loan and make the house my own. Everyone has a quest in their life and my quest identified owning a house as a goal seven years back. I am at the flag end and left with very few years to fully make it a reality. It is one of the hidden agenda which has driven me all along till date. This gave me a sense of direction and purpose in life. It is one of the reasons for my many failed adventures as well. Nevertheless, I travelled the distance and about to cross the line. If all my struggles I faced till now has any value, my efforts should create a ripple effect in the country as far as housing is concerned. Government should make housing affordable for all and make the dream of owning a house a reality for the multitudes. My struggles should ease the pain of owning a house in the country. I came from a humble background and trying to reach the next level of social stature. This should inspire millions to follow suit and make them as such - to reach next level. The private operators must build houses for all classes of people to step up the ladder. The government must build houses for the poor and gift them to lead a life in much better conditions.

                Taking a cue, the previous and present governments in A.P. and Telangana are building lakhs of houses for the poor and this should be implemented all over the country so that the poor gets benefitted. The government is already giving 2 lakh rebate on the house loan. I relentlessly pursued the dream even during lockdown to make owning a house a reality. I am a regular soldier and one of the reasons is to own the house. It has been 7 years + 1 year earlier, making it a 8 year struggle. Any effort with discipline and dedication yields multiple benefits not just to self but to nation at large. Many approve me as a person after seeing my struggles and hard work. You need to travel the distance and be a ‘Yes’ man over a period to fully own a house. I became a ‘Yes’ man over the years by virtue of my work ethic. When I became ‘Yes’ man, as it creates a ripple effect, a host of others become ‘Yes’ Men which in turn create many others and automatically the nation becomes ‘Yes’ India. It requires work ethic and once attained demands respect from everyone else. We all are in the flag end of the mission to make our nation ‘Yes’ India. ‘Yes’ is a valuable word, earn it to increase our own value.

                With regards to the pandemic statistics, there are a total of 51.75 lakh infected cases worldwide and 3.33 lakh people dead. In the past week, again 6.64 lakh new cases came up and 31 thousand passed away. This week as well, more than 6 lakh new cases have been registered. U.S.A, Russia, India, Brazil and several other South American nations have become the hotspots for the spread of the virus. Though India did a commendable job initially, it is doing a poor job presently as far as containing the virus is concerned. With the number of cases escalating every day, the country is not imposing the restrictions but going easy with the curbs. Yesterday itself, the highest number of 6000 has been recorded and the country is easing restrictions at this critical moment. As someone puts it, the nation is learning to live with the virus and the virus no longer threatens it.

                Lets get back to U.S.A. A look at the numbers reveal that more than 1/5^th of the worlds infected cases are in that nation. It is sorry to see the big men contracting the little virus. The nation has the most powerful artillery in the world yet couldn’t catch the minute virus. What an irony that the nation which sells weapons of security and provide security to nations around the world cannot secure its own people. The daily number of cases are touching new highs and they had no clue how to contain it. Their present situation is due to the threat to the nation which came into open with this pandemic. They contracted virus from people who came into the nation knowingly and unknowingly spreading the pandemic. Instead of securing other nations they should neutralize threat to its own self and its people. The threat can be in any form and they are least prepared to face it and lay prone for it to attack and take them down completely. Its unfortunate that so many Americans are prone to so many attacks and they can do everyone good if they can secure and value the lives of Americans.
