Few Insights On Ongoing 'Terror' Phase and Success of AAP, Failure of Airline Operators
Of all the forms of evil
prevalent in the world, one of the most notorious types is creating an
atmosphere of terror and inducing fear among the public. Unfortunately, my work
and myself are disseminating terror as a byproduct. It is not a recent trait
but has been observed since last 2 to 3 years and has only grown out of
proportion in recent times. Even when the atmosphere is terrifying, I really
admire a lot of people who put a bold face and work without fear in these
difficult times. Few other people expressed fear and they are rightly so. Even if
I am going to job regularly, it is a fear inducing activity on my part. If I
dissect further on what is the root cause of me causing terror, I cannot tell
the exact reason. I believe my continuous working mode with lot of performance
and intensity gives some advantages but there are disadvantages like this as
well. I never take pride in creating an atmosphere of fear and always lives
with a guilty consciousness that something negative is happening because of me.
With this kind of atmosphere prevalent, you create a vacuum for real-life acts
of terror to take shape and prosper all around.
When an act of terrorism
happens in the external world like a blast or gun shots, it is the society and
people like me which has to take as much a blame as the terrorist. Because the
society or the human life style creates a vacuum for terror strikes. It is also
people like me who add up to create a big negative impact. A feeling creeps in
constantly that a bomb blast or any other act of terror is always round the
corner. Security is paramount in these times and we depend a lot on those who
provide it and keep the miscreants at bay. Unless, we the people change,
terrorism can never be brought to an end. It is the work of such people which
creates terror and terrorists. Like in the physics, for all the extremely positive
forces, there rises a negative force to neutralize it. This might be one of the
laws of nature which takes care of itself. If a country becomes victim of
terrorism, it should stop attacking the terrorists and their host nations and
start introspecting within itself. If terrorist attack happens on India, India
always blames Pakistan. The nation should point the finger on its own self
before pointing at others. Our own actions which induce fear, create a vacuum
for terrorism and terrorists. So many innocent lives being lost is always a bad
thing. We can let it go because it did not reach till us. But tomorrow it can
be us or any of our near and dear. We need to react by looking into ourselves
and act faster by mending our ways. I only hope my work cools down and stop
producing the bouts of terror.
Regarding security, one of the
biggest movements which has been going on the ground in recent times is the
‘chowkidar’ movement. Chowkidar means a security guard and the word even made
it to oxford dictionary as a result of this movement. But seriously, is the
country so terrifying, unsafe on the ground that it has to be safeguarded by so
many people. Why is the safety and security of the nation at risk. Whose
actions are responsible for it and who is the culprit. Why should we live in
fear and operate under thick blanket of security all the time. Yes, we should
work and work rigorously but if my work takes the life of someone else, I am
bad at prioritizing. My priority is always safety and security and everyone should
live and let live. There cannot be any compromise on this principle.
Besides terrorists capitalizing on this
opportunity, I really pity the victims of terrorists and terrorists as well.
The worst profession in the world is to become a terrorist. What in the world
propels one to blow their own bodies. This is utter pathetic and must be
stopped. No person should become a terrorist and there cannot be any
circumstances to create one. All the terror organisations like ISIS and a host
of others in Pakistan, POK should stop recruiting and designating innocent
humans as terrorists. All the poor people living as terrorists must abandon the
clandestine life and come into the mainstream. If you want to fight for a
cause, fight peacefully. Anything and everything can be achieved by the force
of the peaceful fight. Everyone who got a birth must also face death and it
cannot be you and I who force this to happen. A person is really fortunate if
he says I am responsible for zero deaths.
In similar lines, what kind of
nation is this U.S.A which always wages wars and believes in killing, violence.
U.S.A is certainly the new-kid-in-the-block and it should grow without making
noise, but how it had perpetrated violence is there for everyone to see. First,
it dropped two first-of-its-kind atom bombs and killed 2 lakh people in Japan
as against 2000 who lost lives in pearl harbor attack. Japan did a minor rap at
the back of the kid and the kid, instead of tolerating the blow with patience,
reacted violently and killed a good 2 lakhs people. Poor terrorists kill few
hundreds elsewhere, not in lakhs and crores. U.S has been directly and
indirectly responsible for killing 20 million people in 37 victim nations since
world war 2. That is a good 2 crore people wiped off the planet by a single
nation or through influence of this nation. So much for the little kid acting
like a big brother. No wonder, Iran recently designated the entire U.S.
military as a big terrorist. There is a reason and perspective towards that. I
would be ashamed to live in such a nation which perpetrates so much of blood
shed. U.S tries to solve the problems and mysteries of the world interfering
everywhere when itself is a big problem and mystery to the world. Moreover,
they call themselves as the ‘Greatest’ nation on the Earth while in reality U.S
has done below average if not worse. They attract the best of the best from
across the world to peddle the worst all over the world. The strong, little
pesky kid needs to grow up and get some maturity before interfering in the
affairs of weak adults. Just for instance, if countries X,Y,Z are getting oil
from country A, what is the pain to country B, which is U.S, to ban all the oil
exports from country A. Now, where does XYZ go, which also includes India and
how will country A, which is Iran gets its revenue. Isn’t India responsible
enough to deal with Iran. Why this kid wants to dictate terms to all the mature
nations. After bombing the 37 odd countries so heavily, this kid flexes its
strong muscles by imposing sanctions wherever it wants. I don’t encourage this
behavior and wayward living. You cannot sleep soundly by taking life out of
everyone else. This indirect terrorism under the garb of high authority and
setting-things-right needs to pave way for age-old maturity, rational thinking
and peaceful negotiations. I am not anti to anyone (not even terrorist) but
just laying before you the hard facts which are on the table for facts need to
be told and not covered up. There is always good in calling out a bad guy
bad.
Since, elections are going on
all over the nation, it’s going to held next week in the important capital state
of New Delhi. It is important because a political revolution took place in NCR
region. Delhi is due for state elections next year and loksabha elections next
week. From the time of its inception in 2013, the ruling AamAadmi Party (AAP)
has struggled a lot to reach the present state of affairs in New Delhi. First
of all, anyone needs to congratulate the rise of a common man’s party in such a
short duration against the giants of B.J.P and Congress. AAP came for clean
politics against the backdrop of India Against Corruption(IAC). This clicked
heavily and catapulted AAP to power in no time. This is easier said than done.
There are many small parties which aspire to get into the mainstream politics
but has to be content with 1 or 2 seats after putting in all the efforts. Not
with AAP. It not only took on the corruption practices of congress head-on but
also dethroned it and came to power. This is a new revolution in the country
which pioneered the rise of a new India. AAP formed government twice in the
span of two years. One has to appreciate the guts of AAP for resigning from
power in the first term after 49 days for the passage of Anti- corruption bill.
The conviction won and calculated risk paid-off and they came to power by a
landslide victory winning 67 out of 70 seats in 2015 state elections. But it did
not win any seats in Delhi in the 2014 general elections in which BJP won all
the 7 seats. The Loksabhaelections are a different ballgame which elects a PM
and the voters need to be wise and cast their vote to elect their desired PM.
But nevertheless, AAP is a party which inspires a common man to enter politics,
win the elections and come to power to serve and achieve something different
than what the regular politicians do. The party took to the fore the
aspirations of every ordinary citizen for a cleaner politics. Everyone wishes
for a change but there has to be someone who becomes the torchbearer of change
and goes all the way to claim power and implement the change. This has been
done by AAP for which the party and the people of Delhi are commendable.
When you vote for a better
governance, change does not come overnight but it takes time. There has been
some pattern shifts in terms of governance over the last 4 and half years in
Delhi. One of the huge shift in the status quo is way education and health sectors
have been operated. Any good leader who wishes to serve from the bottom of his
heart should begin with education reforms in the country. Because the future of
the nation is today’s children, they have to be educated well. Everyone knows
the bad state of public education in schools in the nation. This has been
completely revamped by AAP and the government schools have now become model
schools from being in the state of utter neglect. Offering quality education in
India for all sections of society is easier said than done. Ever since its
inception, Delhi government focused on education and allocated a quarter of its
budget for education which is 26%. Many efforts taken up by the government and
their good results received global accolades. The teaching methods in
government schools have been improved, teachers are trained abroad,
infrastructure is improved, classrooms are constructed which made the public
schools on par with private schools if not better. The change is visible in a
1000 government schools in Delhi which is a tremendous achievement by the novel
government. With a 94.29 pass percentage, these public schools outperformed the
private institutions whose pass percentage is 90.68 per cent in class XII
results. A huge 203 public schools scored a 100% pass percentage. This is not
an easy task to motivate and make the economically backward students study. It
is a distant dream for many schools to achieve this feat. Education and health
has been the key focus areas of the government since it came to power. This is
enough for me vote for AAP in the coming state elections next year.
If this is all looking
bright, things are looking bleak elsewhere. The operational shutdown of Jet
airways, a major private airline operator and a common option for travelling
within the country underscores a crisis in Indian aviation industry. The
airline drowned in more than a billion dollars in debt though the air travel
demand is increasing in the country. The huge debts of aircraft operators in the
country is nothing new. Many airlines have huge debts on their books.
Ultimately, the losses and the debts spiral each passing day and year before
the airlines shutdown. Even Air India has 8 billion debt and now running on tax
payers money to keep it afloat. Because it is government airlines, tax payers
money is infused. But where will the debt-laden private players get the money
from. A dozen airlines have left the market since 1981. The government can’t do
much about it when it failed to mend the ways of Air India till now. The last
option of trying to sell it to a private player also found no buyers. This is
the sorry state of civil aviation in the country. Though Indians never mastered
the art of building a aircraft, they have neither mastered the art of running
aircrafts sustainably even after 2 decades of tough lessons. Despite having
huge market of 3rd largest in the world and ever increasing demand,
the aircraft operators are still making their baby steps and never really
learned to walk. It is not to learn that running aircrafts is not our cup of
tea. Turning around the fortunes of air travel service providers should be a challenging
case study. If this is one part of the story, the plight of the thousands of
employees of Jet Airways is another part. Salaries are suspended since the past
many months and now became jobless. There are cases of employees who are
failing to make the ends meet. The airline operators are all too big to fail
but still failed. Co-ordination among all the involving entities of the air travel with some professional approach towards making companies profitable is one of
the requirements which has to be immediately met.
