Need For Safe-Guarding Mother Tongue, Unemployment, 'Maha' Politics and Hong-Kong Protests

An important revelation I would like to make from this medium is I had deep respect and affinity towards my mother tongue, a bond which no other language can break. That said, I had been blogging in English since last 12 years which had made me an ambassador for that language since as much time. While I would like to contribute for the growth of a foreign language, I do not intend to do it at the expense of my own mother tongue or any other regional language. It is my helplessness and a gift from God that I am writing in English. Helplessness, because I am not very adept in using any other language. God’s gift, because I am able to communicate in the language which reaches farther and wider. Coming to the point, it can be said that persons like me are killing the native or regional languages by the use of English language. I may not do it alone but I can inspire a group of people who in turn would motivate f...

Need For Increased Participation In Public School Education and Few Sincere Hopes

Breaking away from the fortnightly posts, I took a long break since my last column came out. I never intended it that way but I am helpless in this regard. I must confess that these are no ordinary writings and does not happen every now and then as simple as it seems to be. A lot of things need to fall in place and it took a period of five years of work to see the recent series of posts and the aura it created. What I write might be insignificant but the attempt in itself is a big step. There is a difference between insignificant attempt at writing and writing to create an impact. Many people write, but they remain words on paper and mine translate into real world action. The attempt backed by bulldozing work creates impact and not always words. I would have liked to reduce this impact and the levels of risk so that I can be more frequent with penning down my thoughts. But the phenomeno...

Deepest Condolences, On the Road to Peace and Progress, Reform Catalyst and Few Bold Truths

Let me begin by offering deepest condolences to the departed soul of former central Minister Sushma Swaraj, who passed away on 6 th August. I don’t know her much and not into her domain but from the occasional catch up on news and the social media platforms, I knew that she is an active and excellent parliamentarian, always raising questions and debating on issues of national interest. She has many firsts in her career, a first woman MP to get the outstanding parliamentarian award, first female leader of opposition in the Loksabha, first woman Chief Minister of Delhi among many others. I am particulary very touched by her helping hand which I witnessed myself in the countless tweets where she responded to the call of the distressed people. This quality really set her apart from her peers where she is just a tweet away for any help. This kind of helping nature and rea...

Few Thoughts On Comfortable Life, Social Work and Ending Kashmir Dispute For Once and All

I am thankful to the almighty and everyone concerned because I hit the smooth road of navigation these days. When you have place to live, place to work, work to do, food to eat and everything is going on smoothly, you cannot ask for more, especially after all the hiccups and ordeals you face. The ordeals of ‘beautiful’ days are surprisingly not seen these days. Hitherto, I went through the gruel and completed myself like a camphor on fire which has been my routine in those days. I would be at least grateful that those days of pain are now a distant past. When your day ends in a constant high then you are certainly leading a good life. When a person like me is looked after well, enjoys life and leads a good life then definitely God blesses the land and bestows his good blessings upon this great land. May God bless the nation. The poor, weak, oppressed, marginal, irrelevant, finer people needs to fi...

Few Thoughts on Negative Impact, Debt-Ridden States And The World Cup Winner

There are no two ways in which I work but always a single way in which I go about my routines. Sometimes, there will be setbacks or something might pull me down but I still refuse to let the external disturbance affect me and perform my daily duties without getting disturbed. Rather than me taking those decisions to continue like that, it is some unknown wave which is taking me for a ride in it. The best instance is - I worked for a foreign visa keeping in view all the required background necessary for working in a rich nation. While the task of building up a profile with all the required background is huge, I took it up like a yagna and performed for well over 8 months. When I got the result of denial, it is devastating enough for me and to continue in the same way is never a big return on my investment. I could have easily suspended all my activities and lie down crying for a week. There is no reason for this bull ru...

A New India, Vision and Few Thoughts 'Down Under'

A changing and resurgent India - this has been the theme which has been most heard about since I was a child. I had been three decades old and what really materialized in this time in the country is a really important question. Because Independence came 7 decades ago and in that I had lived for 3 decades. My productive years are a decade or from 20 to 30 when I came into work force. So my contribution to the country is already ten productive years and I can see a lot of good work. The change has been really visible on the ground. 'A new India' is one of the common themes which has been at the thick of the things since I started to grow up. A 15 years ago, a leading political party campaigned with the slogan – ‘India Shining’. Though the party lost the PAN Indian elections at that time, it resonated with the public and left a deep impression upon them. Since it is a nation wide ...

End of Foreign Visits And Review of Center, State Election Results

The never ending great expeditions come to a halt some time. My back and forth with the foreign nation also came to a halt with no further chance of making a rotation again. You read it right and let me make some disclosures. I mentioned in the last post about my situation and hope to make the journey to U.S. once again. All these hopes are dashed in this week after my application is denied the permit to work. It is a simple extension of visa from 3 to 6 years which I was told quite possible before applying but did not get through the approval. So, as it emerges, this is the real face of the nation - to deny assistance to people who require it the most. After spending all my money and going nearly bankrupt, I at least deserved a helping hand for all my good work and an opportunity to cover up my losses. But I was denied three times and this is the fourth time I ...
