Few Thoughts

My training at Infosys,Mysore started two and half months back. It has been a period of emotions running high. There is a lot of difference between a child's imagnation and practicality - be it about the world around us or our own selves. The gap narrows between the two, probably when we grow up and get hands-on with the real life. Those who have murked in the dirty waters or have a shaky base may not stand still at this stage. The fighters among those would mould themselves, the 'backers' ,knowing their limitations, would back themselves and others build buildings for a collapse.

Everything about the place is picturesque and opulent. All of us over here should have been very fortunate for utilising facilities of this kind so early in our careers. Perhaps it is temporary but we got the taste or distaste of this mode of living. The good thing about software jobs is its gender insensitivity. Fairer sex can compete with their male counterparts on equal terms. Women clad in western outfilts roaming around lifts the beauty of this campus few notches higher.

Somehow the student in me did not studied well after 10th class. To learn as much as I can and do my best in the last stretch, I decided to give up on watching T.V, movies (unlesss dragged by friends) and all the stuff that distracts. Never before had I felt as much tension as I felt during and before the exams.(Exams are conducted after the end of each module and a module spans between 2-10 days.) The result of this toil is I flunked in two successive exams. May be I implemented the 'not do's' well but did not do the 'do's' well. It's only an episode and the moral in its entirety will be known after the serial is completed.

Fasts for Telangana

This notion for a new state has been in the air for a long time and unfortunate is this struggle for separation rather than development. No one is against development and it is an ill-conceived notion that backwardness in the region can be treated only after separation. Such movements initiated by men have divided this country and broken many a states into pieces. Not the people at large want this and how well the independent states have fared is not a tough question to answer. May be the ground realities are different but very few individuals with antagonistic feelings like separation. Liberation from bad governance can be a struggle to vouch for but liberation for self-governance always has a bad flavour to it. The end result may be anything but it is in the greater interests of all  that violence is ceased and normal life is restored in the state.
