Health Care Reforms Part 3: To Stop Looting in the Name of Health

Being working in the domain, I am once again dealing with the major issue of contention in U.S. – health care. Everyone knows by now that the health care is skewed towards the business players in the country. While I am earning my bread and butter through this very model, there is a general agreement that the system can improve for the better. I am putting my efforts in a system to improve the single most important commodity of everyone - health. Hence the painstaking efforts should not go waste but evolve the way health care is rendered across the nation. You can earn money but cannot get back the prime health once it struck the path of downward spiral. There are some major pain points in the way health is treated and there is a need for pain killers to mitigate the same. The way health is safeguarded in the country determines the health of the nation as well. From the way things have shaped up, U.S. is in pretty bad shape from this simple indicator. I don’t go into complex issues b...

An Ode to Black History Month and Terrible Earthquake

It has been the beginning of another new year and this time around it began in U.S. I used to do a review of the year passed by and assess what is in store for the present year. The last year was nothing short of consistent activity in continuation with earlier years. I couldn’t have done it all back in India but change in location helped me to continue the work unabated. The relocation to U.S. made me fixated in a house but I used the remaining time to good effect . I might march along the same vein in the near future without many changes in modus operandi. While I continued in a lower level earlier, I am accelerating, climbing the altitude and reaching next levels as I move ahead. The last few months are an indication of climbing up the level and I don’t think I can reach any higher. It is dangerous sometimes to work from this plane of operation. This is ea...

For A U.S. To Turn Into Industrious Self

It has been some time since I started to work in U.S. While it may be natural, the period is more of a time of hard work. It is also quite common that people from other countries who want be successful put in a lot of efforts to make a footprint in U.S. This is also true in case of Indians coming to U.S. and giving their everything to bag hard-earned money. The pattern is very much similar to any first-generation immigrants working hard and making the ends meet in a new country. This is also true for any class – be it students, adults on jobs or home makers. Everyone needs to dig in and slog their way through to create a future for their own selves. I also lived among a group of individuals who slogged in jobs for most of the time and looking for hard earned money. In the age, era, direction and place of industrial revolution; being industrious is the virtue through which the time went by in the past many months. These are the reasons why we are being tough in the U.S., and it ...
