Health Care & Education Socialism in the U.S

In this post, let me put the spotlight back on health in the U.S. I had written about it immediately after I came to U.S. with my limited knowledge. But truly the subject needs vast improvement. I am living off this health care system and can’t tell if the existing scheme of things is right or wrong but from outside the health care simply seems primitive in the country. There is a huge scope for improvement while keeping the rules of game unchanged. Yes, you need to improve and not change something drastically. This is a comment from an insider and an outsider will have a 180 degree transformation in mind. We cannot simply understand why we ended up where we are as far this subject is concerned. Without prognosis, diagnosis, and treatment, this could get to any other unintended destination. Hence corrective measures are required, which could alter the course of the health care in the U.S. for the better. Let us look at few basic aspects as to why we got here and see why there is ...

India @ 1 To India @ 75 To India @ 100

I n this post, let us look at few facts surrounding India celebrating its 75th Independence Day. It has been 75 years since India attained its Independence. It is a landmark moment of celebrating a diamond jubilee of Independent India. We celebrated golden jubilee or 50 years of Independence, 25 years back when I was in school. I still remember that year when there is an emphasis laid on 50 years of Independence. I particularly remember drawing a sketch on this theme with an emphasis on the golden jubilee, in 1997. The days in school are always good for this reason that they make you feel part of important milestones of the country and any other days of significance. We are retracted from these moments after becoming adults and working in jobs which just give holidays on August 15th and January 26th. I don’t remember even hoisting a flag since a long time. Given the fact that I am working in U.S., it is neither a holiday nor I was part of anything which commemorated...

Rise of IT and Rise of U.S.A

Since I am working in the U.S., this subject should follow the previous post. Let me begin by making a statement – If India rose by virtue of its IT prowess, half of the credit goes to the U.S. What an advanced nation and what an empowerment of a young, developing nation. I get tears in my eyes when I look at the brilliance of the U.S. in this regard. I don’t know if it is a debt incurred by India, the development of India or the development of the U.S. or the largesse of the U.S. It might be anything, but the IT revolution in the U.S. a few decades back, made a success story for young India Inc at its most needed time. India emerged to scale new heights by virtue of the timely opportunities created in this field by the U.S. Once again, I don’t know the business value or any hidden agenda of the U.S. but I can tell you the true story of myself and nothing else, as part of the larger picture. I am yet to decod...

Rise of IT and Rise of India

In this post, I would like to draw some parallels in the positive evolution of tech and the home nation - India. I would like to begin by making a small statement – the Information Technology (IT) enabled Services is India's contribution to the world and the IT services are the driver for the growth in India. Everyone knows that IT is the best domain where Indians are making it out including myself. Every country has a strong point, an area where the fruits of the nation’s labor are seen. For India, it is IT, which is the result of the fruition, friction, traction, and the toil. Every nation brings up something with a view that the something will take care of the nation. That something happened to be IT which has evolved along with the nation. The parallel evolution lies beneath this meeting point of requirements which serves as a propulsion for both to reach greater heights. Let me lay out a few factor...
