Review Of The Bygone Work Phase and Few 'Employment' Insights

It has been some time since my last post has come out. Though there is no obligation that I should write frequently, I like to post every now and then. Call it my laziness, I am not able to do so for some time. Besides that, it is not like in the past when you are free to do whatever you like. Things have grown out of proportions to dangerous extent that I need to be circumspect and act carefully. I had been trading with risk since last couple of years or more. I am only able to live or make a living by dealing with this high risk factor. Life in cities is completely replete with risks. From the point you step out of your homes, no one is sure if one returns safely. To mitigate this risk, self-imprisonment for some period and acting with restraint can reduce it to some extent. But as I mentioned earlier, I am living this lifestyle since I got no other choice; there is no way out; never coming out of the loop or escaping the grind. The larger audience can do me a favor by supporting me in my lifestyle instead of thinking how can I side with this person.

A hallmark that emerged from the last many months is I worked tirelessly, rigorously and more than anything swiftly. When you are working with a sense of emergency at the required time for a prolonged period and discipline, you can see an organic growth and a chain reaction of good things transpiring before you. Emergency in action exercised expertly brings a lot of dividends. The man becomes a machine and gradually becomes a driving force which drives a lot of positive work. Everyone else will be swept by the wave you are riding upon with high standards and ideals.

Though working swiftly during my last work tenure happened unconsciously, I look back at the phase and remain in wonder at how it unfolded.  It is not every time I can repeat it as a lot of factors need to come together to make it happen. Even when living with danger, I remained lofty in my ideals and standards. These high standards definitely teaches the future to act as such in all their pursuits. I can see a silent revolution sweeping across the nation and as quoted, the nation needs many such revolutions to transform itself and reach the full potential. It dawns upon me now as to how I worked in such a fashion then. As I reiterate it again, my pursuit will be for the upliftment of all the sections of the society permeating the boundaries of race, religion, caste etc. It is up to the individuals how they receive me. Everyone is born equal and need to be benefitted. One should look at opportunities available for growth instead of looking at someone as an impediment or adversary.

After my recent stints to U.S., there is interest in the air whether I will go again. My working model has been synched to rotating between these two countries. To begin with, I do not even have a valid visa to travel. To get it from my financial circumstances and bear all other expenses is a humongous ask. From there to do the heroic act again is easier said than done. Amid such a high effort, the biggest beneficiaries are these two nations and the loser is me. No doubt, I would be egged to make these adventures. But if there is any good emanating out of my existence and these trips, I would make all efforts to venture into the task. So the answer is, I would try to go if it is good for everyone or it is good for me alone. My wish is to make these trips as democratically acceptable as possible taking the consensus from everyone. Till now, it eluded as I took unilateral decisions in previous two outings. As a result, people on either sides are jealous and I took the brunt of the act by not getting any job.

I was able to do everything I can in the last many months because of the job I had. A job, besides providing financial security shapes the individual into a useful resource to the nation. A society where a large proportion of adult population joins the labor force and all are fruitfully employed is a healthy society. Such a society automatically motivates households to spend more and improve quality of life. In doing so, households propel economic growth and more employment. On the other hand, a society that cannot provide gainful employment to those who seek it is vulnerable. An increase in unemployment reduces aggregate spending power, slows down the economy and increases dejection, vulnerability of households to deal with economic shocks.

Let us look into the numbers of those who are less fortunate or unemployed. The present unemployment rate in the country is 5.6% for the month of June 2018 which means out of 100 work force only 6 active job seekers are denied jobs. This number is varying between 3 to 6 % since January 2017 which is a very healthy sign and on par with developed nations or better than those. But if we look at the 6%, it reflects nearly 2.5 crore Indians are jobless. Whereas the overall unemployment is below 6%, unemployment among graduates in particular is 12.6% which is 78 lakhs and 15 lakh graduates pass out every year. This is contrary to the myth that education will provide employment. Higher the education, higher the unemployment chance. Thus, in new innovative start-ups, ventures, job creation centers creating high-end jobs lies the future of graduates in India. A crore unemployed graduates is not ordinary and all the stakeholders must act quickly to reduce this count. Even from those graduates who are employed, not all are doing their ‘level’ of work. Many of them are working as peons, clerks and in other low-salaried jobs. This moves the real unemployment rate among the graduates alarmingly  higher. Many of the graduates below the age 30 remain unemployed. These educated students cannot be failed and all the public, private custodians must create opportunities for them to lead a life with dignity. Meanwhile, unemployment rate in Karnataka is a meagre 2.2%, Telangana it is 1.2%, Tamil Nadu 0.8%, Uttarakhand 1.4% and the in capital state Delhi 9% which is astonishing. Now everyone knows where to land.

Elections are held in Karnataka and unexpectedly JD(S) came to power through coalition. Watching the heat of the campaign and the struggle for the power made one feel that the stakes are really high in the election. The politicians put a lot on line as it is evident in the election campaigning. Its OK to lose an election rather than putting so much at stake. After winning the parliamentary elections, BJP wants to spread the wave in all the states. It is very difficult to keep on winning and particularly when there are lot of expectations on you to win. Rising upto these expectations every now and then is a challenging task. It would make much more sense if the state and central elections are held simultaneously for all the states.
