Nationalism and Pitching For Second Indian Freedom Movement

It has been more than a year since this subject has been at the forefront. The question is simple – Am I living more in the interest of the nation than personal interest. Am I contributing more to the nation than the self. Am I serving the nation more by my work than my own being. The answers to these questions is a resounding ‘Yes’ from my side. This is as such since more than a year. I lived more for the country back in India in the months leading up to the journey to the U.S. After reaching the U.S. it has taken a similar routine as well. Thus, the past year or more, it has been more nationalism on offer.   I do know it has been more in the same line earlier as well. But the development in the recent past has aggravated in magnitude . Thus, we are staring at the days when the work has more contribution towards the nation. This kind of national conscience at a huge volume can be seen during the Indian Independence movement. While a few people can work with this national...

An Ode to Women's History Month - From U.S. to India

I had tremendous respect for women across the regions. With all due courtesy, respect and worship, I will try to put something together for the best among both the sexes. The women’s day falls on March 8 th every year. March 8th is celebrated as International Women's Day to recognize and celebrate the achievements and contributions of women worldwide. While it is just a day to speak out loud about the utmost necessity and importance of woman, we generally tend to remember their importance every day and every hour. Without woman, there is no creation and without the creation, the world doesn’t exist. I figuratively reached the highest altitude, tallest location or top of the world and talking about the good of 50% of the population. The first International Women's Day was celebrated in 1911, and it has since b...

For An India to Turn Into Industrious Self

I had written a similar one on U.S. where I mentioned the enhanced toil in the recent past after coming to U.S. If I need to say it, before reaching U.S., the period in India was also marked by continuous activity in mission mode. Obviously, when you are so engrossed in these regular rigorous routines in continuous employment and performing consistently every week, over a period of five years, it can be termed as nothing short of hard work. Many a times, I felt a lofty example of high standard is showcased back in India to the onlooking public by this multi-year stint. I also felt this is revolutionary in the way the nation is activated, energized and stimulated by hardworking individuals like me. If this doesn’t turn into on-the-ground, practical changes in the way the nation and its residents rise to higher echelons than nothing else will. The period back in India cannot be stated as nothing short of revolutionary in its potential to uplift the nation. That is the kin...
